ThoughtSpot Advances Towards ‘Autonomous’ Analytics with New Features that Do the Work For You

ThoughtSpot 6 includes new AI capabilities to serve up valuable insights for users, while advanced chart configurations and worksheet portability make sharing and migrating content easier than ever

Partnerships with Snowflake and Google Cloud allow greater scalability and cost-savings

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — October 15, 2019 — Whether in the boardroom, on a showfloor, or visiting a customer, business users in every industry require the flexibility to access data and make fact-driven decisions anytime, from anywhere. That’s why ThoughtSpot is making its search and AI-driven analytics platform even more intelligent and accessible. Today, the company is announcing ThoughtSpot 6, which includes a suite of new features that further democratize data access and amplify insights.

Instant Insights Anywhere
ThoughtSpot continues to make searching for data as simple and easy as possible with its new mobile application. With mobile, ThoughtSpot further empowers users to search on their own terms, regardless of where they happen to be located — because decisions are not always made in front of a desktop. ThoughtSpot Mobile can be downloaded from the iOS App Store.

Empowering Business Users Through AI
Advancements in ThoughtSpot’s advanced analytics and AI technology are empowering business people to unlock more value than ever from their data through rich, relevant, and meaningful insights.

ThoughtSpot’s New ThoughtSpot 6 feature Answer Explorer helps users find the right questions to ask by serving up suggestions in an existing pinboard on a pinboard based on terms frequently used with similar data sets throughout a user’s organization. With one click, users can accept suggestions to filter, add or compare metrics, or break down by dimensions, sewing together connections they may not have thought to make and unleashing the potential for valuable new insights.

Additional AI advancements in ThoughtSpot 6 are accelerating the company’s vision towards “autonomous” analytics. With ThoughtSpot Monitor, announced in beta in ThoughtSpot 6, users can tell ThoughtSpot to monitor a specific dataset, chart, or set of KPIs. After the user makes the initial request, ThoughtSpot’s AI engine SpotIQ continuously analyzes the underlying data and alerts users about changing patterns and trends. With this information, businesses have unprecedented agility to act on their data to drive their business.

“Business users want to focus on what they do best - running their business. No one really wants to spend a lot of time with their data. What they want are insights," said Ajeet Singh, Cofounder & Executive Chairman, ThoughtSpot. “With every new release, we add capabilities in our platform to reduce the effort required from users while increasing the value they get from their data. We call it LIMO, or less input, more output. It’s our core product philosophy and informs every decision we make.”

Other ThoughtSpot 6 Features:
