ThoughtSpot Appoints Anthony Lee-Masis as Chief Information Security Officer to Help Customers Confidently and Securely Adopt AI-Powered Analytics

Lee-Masis joins as more companies embrace secure, reliable GenAI solutions at scale, for even their most critical analytics workloads

Mountain View, California - May 9, 2024 - ThoughtSpot, the AI-Powered Analytics company, announced the appointment of Anthony Lee-Masis as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and technical operations in the SaaS industry, Lee-Masis will guide ThoughtSpot’s global security practices, a testament to ThoughtSpot’s commitment to enhance and protect its customers’ data privacy and security. As companies move away from legacy business intelligence and adopt GenAI-powered tools to fundamentally change the way they leverage data and spark their Data Renaissance, safety, security, and robust governance will remain essential to this effort.

As ThoughtSpot’s CISO, Lee-Masis will lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect critical information and infrastructure. He will be responsible for developing and implementing ThoughtSpot’s comprehensive security strategies, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of company and client data across global operations. Prior to joining ThoughtSpot, Lee-Masis served as the CISO & Data Protection Officer at Xactly Corp, where he spearheaded major security initiatives that supported the company’s successful IPO in 2015.

“We’re living in a world that’s defined by data, and as a consequence, every organization needs to be a cybersecurity company. Anthony’s experience and strategic vision will be invaluable to our comprehensive security initiatives to bolster the resilience of digital infrastructure, reinforce customer trust, and, most importantly, protect critical information,” said Mohit Daswani, Chief Financial Officer, ThoughtSpot. “As businesses continue to reimagine their operations in the Data Renaissance with generative AI, Anthony’s leadership will be paramount to ensure their investments and workloads are built on top of safe, secure, reliable data foundations.”

“It’s a privilege to join a market leader like ThoughtSpot that consistently sits at the cutting-edge of data analytics and AI,” said Anthony Lee-Masis, Chief Information Security Officer, ThoughtSpot. “As more companies begin to migrate to GenAI-powered analytics tools, they need assurance that their most valuable asset will remain secure, protected, and private. ThoughtSpot has embraced this ethos since inception, and I’m excited to contribute to this proactive culture of security awareness and empower our customers to adopt our innovative solutions with confidence.”

Lee-Masis has joined ThoughtSpot in the wake of strong growth for the company, including:
