Challenge

As Verivox grew, its legacy dashboarding tools struggled to meet the increasing demand for real-time insights. The company faced slow time-to-insight, cumbersome report generation, and limited data exploration capabilities. Verivox needed a scalable, intuitive solution to streamline data-driven decision-making and empower teams with real-time answers. The goal was simple: move beyond static reports and enable dynamic, self-service analytics.

At the time, Verivox was growing rapidly—more users, more products, and increasing data demands. But our team size wasn’t scaling at the same pace, creating a challenge in maintaining efficiency and managing complexity.

Solution

To achieve this goal, Verivox knew they would need a robust intelligence tool that prioritized the user experience. ThoughtSpot delivered, providing a fast, search-driven analytics experience for both internal teams and external partners. The platform’s scalability, ease of use, and focus on self-service analytics were key drivers of the decision.

What really stood out to us was how ThoughtSpot’s search-driven approach enabled us to explore data intuitively, without waiting on complex reports. It’s the perfect tool for the fast-paced, data-driven environment we operate in.

Once the decision was made, the biggest challenge was shifting the mindset of employees who were accustomed to static dashboards. Initially, the business wanted to retain the look and feel of old reports, but embracing ThoughtSpot’s search-driven analytics required a fundamental shift in the data culture at Verivox—from a descriptive dashboard approach to one of perspective data use for decision-making and activation.

Impact

Despite challenges, Verivox is seeing strong adoption of ThoughtSpot Analytics, with over 350 Monthly Active Users (70% of their 500 employees) across all six divisions. After transitioning from two legacy BI tools in six years and implementing ThoughtSpot in 2020, Verivox is now focused on further increasing adoption and empowering more teams to leverage data in decision-making.

In regards to external users, Verivox is leveraging ThoughtSpot Embedded as the analytics engine powering Vertriebspartner-Portal, their B2B platform. This integration empowers Verivox to:

  • Streamline secure, personalised, and relevant insight delivery for 25 active customers
  • Monetise data experiences by encouraging investment for deeper analytics and richer insights
  • Simplify self-service data exploration for popular topics like churn, benchmarks, and payment strategies

Aside from strengthening Verivox relationships with its partners, this portal also opened new, direct revenue channels.

Looking Ahead

Verivox plans to deepen the use of ThoughtSpot with its current teams by increasing the intensity of usage. The focus is on ensuring users are aware of the full range of capabilities and empowering them to fully leverage ThoughtSpot in their daily work. This will increase adoption and improve the time to insight, enabling more informed decisions. As Verivox continues to grow, ThoughtSpot will remain a key tool for staying ahead of market trends and delivering greater value to both internal teams and external customers.

We’re excited to expand our use of ThoughtSpot. It’s already helping us make faster, more informed decisions, and we see tremendous potential as we integrate it into more areas of the business.
